Terms of Use
Cairn Live — collaborative hiking app.
1. Purpose
Cairn Live lets hikers share trail alerts, photos and GPS tracks. Using the app means you accept these terms.
2. User account
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential. Published content (alerts, photos, tracks) must comply with the law and common sense on the trail.
3. Content and alerts
Alerts and photos are provided by the community with no guarantee of accuracy. In case of danger, contact emergency services (112 / 15). Do not rely solely on the app for your safety.
Public tracks may be rated and commented on by other users. You remain responsible for the tracks you make public.
4. Prohibited content and moderation
Strictly prohibited: illegal, pornographic, violent or shocking content, hate speech, harassment, identity theft and spam.
Any user may report a photo or alert from the app. Reports are handled by the team within 48 hours (priority to serious content). The publisher may remove content and suspend an account for breaches of these terms.
If content endangers minors, also report it via Pharos (France) or your local authority.
5. Location data
The app may use your GPS position to show nearby alerts, record tracks or send an SOS. You can disable these features in your device settings.
6. Liability
Cairn Live is a community information tool. The publishers disclaim any liability for accidents or damage related to a hike.
